Big Hedge Co. is a landscape company with a difference. Founded by Gold Medal winners at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show (2015) and at RHS Tatton Park (2011 – 2013), we specialise in beautiful, ready-grown hedges and topiary.

Fully mature and instantly satisfying, these natural elements do more than act as boundaries – they define your whole landscape.

Our passion for precision involves creating impressive, immediate landscapes where quality is the benchmark. Whether it’s hedges, topiary or irrigation, we can help you plan your ideal outside space today.

What our
customers say

Richard was very helpful and knowledgeable when I enquired about a replacement hedge. He was able to make recommendations based upon the nuances of the project and no challenge was too difficult for him to overcome.

Peter Grant

Richard and his team provided a first class service throughout and a particular mention for Shane who delivered a fantastic project outcome exceeding our expectations.

Peter Holland

Our instant big hedge - 41m of 200cm yew and Portuguese laurel - was installed on our building plot in early January. The installation was very professional, friendly and without any concerns... they have indicated they will be in touch to check on the progress of the plants, and a nudge when to start irrigating.

Susan Percival-Simmons

From start to finish Richard guided us to what was needed. The quality of the product, the quality of the service from the whole team and follow up were super. Highly recommended.

Paul Cosgrove

From our initial meeting right through to the final tweaks on site, your level of professionalism, dedication and constant smiles made you a joy to work with - highly recommended.

Our Plantation

In 2011, Big Hedge Co. began planting a range of products within its Cheshire-based nursery. The ‘growing’ plantation currently totals 10 acres of native species including beech (Fagus sylvatica), field maple (Acer campestre), hornbeam (Carpinus betula) and yew (Taxus baccata).

The plantation will be open for all existing and prospective clients to view the quality of the product as well as provide the opportunity to highlight the wider, environmental message of continued habitat creation across Cheshire and beyond. It is pesticide free and we are currently working towards organic status across the whole plantation. With further expansion plans on the horizon too, the ‘hedge fund’ is certainly maturing fast.
